(2)  Revenue Recovery

During current financial year target for revenue recovery is Rs. 240.00 Lakhs Rs. 143.084 Lakhs have been recovered as on 31-07-2008 against this target. Efforts are continue to achieve target of irrigation revenue recovery & department is hopeful to cross the target up to march 2009.

(3)    Madhya Pradesh Sinchai Prabandhan mein Krishkon kee Bhagidari Adhiniyam 1999

         Under participatory irrigation management in Harda District Madhya Pradesh Sinchai Prabandhan mein Krishkon kee Bhagidari Adhiniyam 1999 is implemented in the department & 49 Nos. water users association & 7 Nos. distributary committies were constituted for total 82145 hectare command area. At present 49 Nos. W.U.A. are is existence & election is due for Distributary committiees.

         These farmer’s organization have been entrusted the responsibility of canal maintenance, water regulation & distribution within their jurisdiction. Allotment of Rs. 43.52 Lakhs received this year which has been distributed among 49 Nos. W.U.A. @30/- per hectare and Distributary committees @20/- per hectare. with instruction’s to complete the canal maintenance work at an earliest before running of canal system.

(4) Construction Works

The Tawa canal system provides maximum irrigation facilities to culturable land of Harda & Timarni blocks of the district. Most of the culturable area of these two blocks have been covered under command area of Tawa canal system, but there is very less irrigation facilities in Khirkiya block through government sources. Average annual rainfall of this block is also lesser in comparison to Harda & Timarni block of the District.  This block is situated in chronic scarcity area and maximum tribal population of the district lives in this block. The peoples are very much enthusiastic and progressive minded to avail irrigation.

The irrigation schemes proposed for this block are quite promising and will be ambition to the peoples of this block for their economical development and prosperity. The following schemes have been proposed for Khirkiya block in District Harda.
